C'mon Steve, et al., grow up. If they're not talking there's a reason, as David
pointed out. It's not because they are just sitting there laughing at us. Who
knows, it may even be on advice from their lawyers that they not comment. Also,
how do you know that they knew, for certain, back when they solicited you for
Word for Word, that a deal with IBM was settled. Try to look at things from
their perspective.
  As to what we can expect, our best hope is that the IBM version of IV will
be parallel to a Xy version--like Nota Bene is now. Cringely's column implies
this won't be the case, but his rumors turn out false at least half the time.
