Huh? A soft (established with VAriable DE) will break the line -- there's
certainly no space|hyphen.

Why do you "need" to wrap the line after em or en dashes? Or are you looking
for a method of adding a narrow space -- a bit of padding on either side of the
dash? There are several ways to set that up. Please clarify.
