I had no such phenomenon with Win95 or Win98, whether or laptops or desktops.
Hmmm, of course in those earlier versions, I ran Paletpop to control
colors. Paletpop is like UltraVision. It doesn't work in XP.

I'm wondering if it's some setting I did for the DOS .pif or .lnk (or
whatever it is).
