Cut and Paste from Windows to XY4

I know this question has been raised before, but I can't remember the answer and I haven't needed
it until now. Is it possible to cut and paste between XY4 (running at present under Win98se) and
windows without using the Windows DOS console toolbar? I normally run without the toolbar showing
and it is irritating to have to reactivate it every time I need to cut or paste.
