Sure, AutoHotkey is a good choice for many tasks. I use it,too, but not
so much for keyboard remapping. Probably the best tool for changing your
layout is http://www.kbdedit.com/. It is not free, but the cost is
minimal. You use the editor to make a new custom layout which is then
loaded instead of a standard one. This solution is easy to use at a
basic level, but can be used to make very advanced keyboard layouts. See
