I concur (version 12 on XP SP3). What tipped the balance in favor of Firefox was the availability of extensions like Scrapbook (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/scrapbook/), which I use to gather information from the Net (IE had SurfSaver, but Scrapbook is much better).
