Dear Mr. Slivitzky,

By default, XyWrite 4.0 uses the spelling dictionary and thesaurus developed by
Microlytics, Inc. If you prefer you can continue to use the spelling
dictionary and thesaurus that you used with Signature. You'll need to copy the
PCLEXAM files (PCLEXAM.DL0 - PCLEXAM.DL3) from your Signature directory into
your XY4 directory - these files must be in the same location as EDITOR.EXE.
You'll also need to add three defaults to your SETTINGS.DFL file as follows:

DF LX=d:\path DF UD=dictionary DF OM=0

The dictionary is the name of the main spelling dictionary (US.DIC) or in the
case of a foreign dictionary (FRANCAIS.DIC). You can still use the UD (Use
Dictionary) command in a file that contains material in a different language.
Part of this information is documented in the Making the Transition Guide on
page 20. Any additional information you might need, you'll need to refer to
the Signature Command Reference Guide, since the command can be used the same
exact way in XyWrite 4.0.
