Want my opinion?

Painful. Forget it. You want to be up, all the time, in one OpSys.

What have you got? If the choice is 98SE or XP, use XP. What's preloaded --
anything?
Get a partitioning tool before you do anything. I use Partition Magic. Break
that huge disk down:
10Gb for C: and operating system (FAT32)
4Gb for D: and PAGEFILE.SYS (only file on this drive) (NTFS)
25Gb for E: and applications (install all applications here!) (FAT32)
25Gb for F: and databases (NTFS)
All remaining space on G: (NTFS)
Then start installing apps to E: and F:
Use G: for video and other huge files
Direct Virtual Memory to D:\ (Control Panel - System - Advanced - Performance)
Direct the %TMP% and %TEMP% environment variables away from C: also, e.g. they
could go on G:
Set the TaskBar/Start Menu style to Classic, so that it is less toy-like
Whatever else you like...
