The FF extensions typically do a whole lot more than get you into a site. For example: DownThemAll was (still is, for me) a great download manager; Copy Links scarfs up all or selected _true_ download links from a page, some of which may have been posted in a "disguised" format; Extended Copy Menu let you define a selected portion of a web page and save it as either HTML or plain text. These are just three of the ones I use frequently, and would be totally lost at sea without. The list goes on. I'm pretty sure they were all trashed, among the widespread "collateral damage" of the changes at Firefox.
