I assume that pre-formated disks are pre-formated for DOS. I haven't had
any trouble with any others, that much I know.

No.

Again, I don't seem to have any other problems. The CPU is a 486-100.

Thanks. I installed Fixpack 26 today, then shut down and went home. So
I'll have to see what happens tomorrow.
