Here is a perhaps ignorant inquiry from a longtime Xydos user.



I use Xywrite (4.018) only for writing and editing my own copy and sending it to publishers (and correspondence). I am not a techie, but I can comprehend low to intermediate-level technospeak.



I print (still) with an NEC Superscript 860. My PRN file is HPLJ-2P. Seeing the HPLJ-4.PRN file Patricia posted makes me wonder if using it would give me any benefit. (My printer has the 2 megs of memory it requires.)
