I'm not really qualified to answer this, esp. since I
only use XP occasionally, as a guest on other people's
machines. But I think W2K also had both a Home and a
Pro edition ? I've heard there were significant
differences in how well-equipped they were. In any
case, I regularly see the "Corporate Edition" of XP
Pro sold at computer shows for approx. $120. These
are said to be full, legal copies, with the seal, S/N,
and hologram -- even if they were de-bundled by
jobbers for resale. The Corp. Ed. apparently does not
require registration, and can be installed /
re-installed on multiple computers. It will update
components at MS update. So, I think this option
has certain advantages.
