Win2K box size

After reading Martin's comments on my suggestion of an 80x50 Windows box for
Xy4DOS, I tried to make it larger. Result? It doesn't work.

The setup:

Run XyDOS 4.18 from a Win2K desktop icon with this command:
  %windir%\system32\cmd.exe /c editor.exe/e4000

Set the box properties/Layout/Screen_Buffer_Size and Window_Size to 80x50:
works fine

Set the box properties/Layout/Screen_Buffer_Size and Window_Size to 90x60:
When the box first opens it is longer than 80x50, but then it snaps down to
80x50 before XyWrite fully loads. If XyWrite's SL default is set "default
SL=60", the extra 10 lines will be "virtual" -- ie XyWrite will act as
through they are one the screen, but they will be invisible or hidden by the
"windowsill".

Anyone know whether this is a DOS limitation or something built into
XyWrite?
I don't have another DOS program at hand to try.
