There are two file-comparison funcs, FD and FM, built into
Nota Bene and, I assume, XyWrite. With two similar files
in toggle windows, FD finds the next difference and FM
finds the next similarity.
The meaning of "difference" is obvious enough, but can
anyone tell me how the XyWrite programmers defined "similarity"?
How does the program "decide" that at some point the two
files match?
