What exactly do you mean by "too uncomfortable"? Size of screen?
Appearance of type? Screen resolution? Could you expand on this a little,
please?
As for Linux' file system, as I understand it (but I've only played with
it a very little), EVERYTHING "branches" off the root. There's no
possibility of absolutely separate drives, the way there is in
DOS/Windows. And devices (a printer, a scanner, a modem), too, are
considered "files"; in fact there's a cliché, "Everything in *nix is a
file."
