How can the literary talent on this list let this (accidental?) tribute to

Oh, bravo, Carlo! I missed it entirely, being so preoccupied with trying
to understand the programming logic. Too addle-witted right now (town
council meeting ran til after midnight last night, then up 'betimes' to
write it up), but I will give it some thought. Reminds me of a passage I
once came upon, editing a wildlife book, in which the author
unwittingly fell into verse when describing some shorebirds' activities
on a beach--a suitable subject for verse in any case, but this was
supposed to be straight natural history.
As I've remarked before, it's VERY easy to fall into blank verse,
will-one, nill-one.
