Had it NEVER worked, I'd assume the printer just wasn't PCL-speaking. But
you say you DID once print to it from Xy?

I *think* so, but I might be misrecollecting, it was only while I was
setting it up here (in L.A.) a month ago.

 Is spooling turned ON in Windows->Settings->Printers and faxes?

Grayed out. But appears to be checked and grayed out.
