A plea for clarity

May I request that people here put in a little effort to make their messages
clearer to people with a different context?
I can guess at many of the shortcuts taken--such as what ^*@N means, but
perhaps others less fortunately endowed than myself would have a greater
struggle. ;-)
And when people make reference to what key combination to hit to accomplish
a certain job, they are assuming that others have their .kbd file. Mine is
wildly nonstandard, so I have to go open up xy4.kbd to find out what
alt-Shift-twiddle actually means in terms of a function call. So please
include the actual function call (e.g., XD) when you tell us what the
standard keystrokes are. (And why didn't the Xy4 manuals do that? A major
pain that they tell us only the keys to hit.)
TIA,
Harry
