If you are unfortunate enough to experience a HDD
failure, and need to replace the drive, your greatest
chance of success with the image restore will be to
the same make, model, and size of drive. This makes
having a spare drive of the same type desirable, if at
all possible. Around these parts, there are periodic
sales + rebates that make this option pretty
inexpensive. (Well, not if you're running a 10K SATA
Raptor. And laptop HDDs do cost more.)
