Burn the contents of the floppies to CD, using same subdir names (if any) as
the floppies... Then install normally.

If Setup insists on a Drive A:, disable floppy drive in the BIOS, then use
SUBST command to make a hard drive dir appear to be A:

Or: use a crossover CAT5 cable between the two machines, or LapLink or
something, and transfer data from desktop to DOS machine

Or: boot the Desktop with a DOS floppy, install on the Desktop, reboot into
Windows, burn the complete installation to CD-ROM, move it to HP.

Or: Email the floppies to yourself

Or: buy an external floppy drive for next to nothing, connect to parallel port

Or about 100 other ways of doing this... But you chose the last thing I'd do,
which is install it under Windows. When you say something like "It does run,
sort of, in standalone mode", alarms ring. The devil is in precisely those
"sort of" details.
