Re: Xy4

Dear Michel,

You can remove the DCA typefaces from your printer file without any problems.
XyWrite 4.0 has no use for these particular typefaces.

The FA table lets you associate each screen font with as many printer fonts as
you want. If you have new screen fonts and new printer fonts, you can use this
table to match your printer fonts to the most closely matched screen fonts -
which will then allow you to view these screen fonts in graphics view. The FP
table lets you associate one printer's font name with another printer's font
name. You might want to use this table if you use a variety of printers.
You'll be able to output a document on different printers without changing the
documents UF commands.

XyWrite 4.0 has a Low-High default (DF LH) which specifies the size and
baseline for a superscript and subscript characters in the Bistream Speedo
fonts. This default will not affect and internal fonts, soft fonts, or
cartridge fonts. Default LH has three values; the first value is the
percentage of the text size to be used for subscript and superscript
characters; the second and third values determine the baseline for superscript
and subscript characters, respectively.

You can modify this default through the menus under Advanced, Preferences,
Defaults - Typestyles or you can add the default manually to your SETTINGS.DFL.
For additional information on this default you can refer to The Customization
Guide on page 28.
