Or, rather, all too seamly? Actually, that CMD session is
unavoidable -- O2 (or rather, STARTOS2.EXE, which is controlled by
O2) needs it to launch the app. But when I issue a command like
your "O2 e.exe C:\NEWS", the intermediate CMD session
starts invisibly in the background; focus switches directly from the
Xy CMline to the desktop app. Seems seamless; in reality, the seams
are well-hidden.
Try "O2 /min e.exe C:\NEWS". If that doesn't work, we can
continue our trouble-shooting -- but in private, lest we bore the
others to tears.
