EOFs =======================================================
Responding to Tony Hirtenstein's
: is there any way to get rid of the EOF character
: which Nota Bene puts at the end of the file?
I am sure J-P's reply is correct--that there is no way of
_preventing_ NB from adding an EOF at the end of any file that it
saves to disk. But, again as J-P indicates. you can take an
external program like NOCZ.COM, and use an
XPL program to run that, so that the whole job is done from
within NB. I have one program called NOCZ.RUN, which does just that; and another called
EMAIL.RUN, which first puts line endings into an NB file, to make
it acceptable to email, and then removes the EOF. I suspect that
one or other program is somewhere in our archives, but, if anbody
wants a copy, let me know. --Tony Woozley | "Cora A. Diamond"
