For Jim Besser, re mouse with XyWrite:
I don't quite use a mouse, but a trackball. Its strong point for someone who
prefers the command line to the gooey is simple but extremely useful: it
enables moving from one part of the screen to another directly, without going
down and then across, and selecting blocks by dragging. I find myself
naturally using it for any marking that is not by unit (by word, line, etc.).
I have tried a mouse and it works fine for the same thing, but it takes up more
desk real estate and does not fall as reliably under the hand.
