John,
You can ignore anything in XyWWWEb.reg that refers to
OS/2 (I see that you have a query about one of those
entries in your possible file). OS/2 is another
operating system, originally brought out by IBM;
Robert, Carl, and Jordan, to my knowledge, use it or,
in Jordan's case eCS, a later incarnation (I kick
myself frequently for not having jumped on the
bandwagon when it first came out), and those entries
are specifically for any users of it.
Robert, am I being officious if I suggest that John use
regcfg.pm? Maybe his system is still too unstable? (I
LOVE it, because it prevents all the dumb typos I used
to commit, and then have to hunt for and weed out,
everytime I had to edit the Xy registry).
John, it's part of the U2 zipped download, and
will automatically customize your XyWWWEb.reg file.
First rename your current XyWWWEb.reg to something
else, and copy a clean copy of the original XyWWWEb.reg
into the directory with editor.exe in it. Then copy or
move the regcfg.pm to that directory, start XyWrite,
and on the command line type Run regcfg.pm and hit
enter. It will take a while, and (as it warns) some
"not founds" are normal, but it saves a lot of trouble.
