XyDos 4.17: is quirky text define fixed?

I still use XyDos 4.14 as my main text editor and am considering
upgrading to 4.17.

I find that text defining occasionally becomes quirky with XyDos.
It's not easy to explain the problem. But, say, if I want to mark
most of one sentence to copy it to some other place in the document,
only part of the section of text I want to define appears highlighted.
Or text in the previous sentence, where I've not placed the cursor,
becomes highlighted. It's not a big problem, but it's annoying when
it happens. If I quit XyWrite and start over again, the problem will
go away. Of course, if the Black Helicopters are causing this, as
certain patterns I'm noticing are making me wonder, then upgrading to
4.17 won't be any help at all.
