Mmmm, from your description, I reach a different conclusion: It sounds like
the Log or Save part of the routine is working properly -- it creates valid RST
files.
Robert,
The RST file I could run without any problem was created before
installing STACK. After STACK installation, the routine was not able to
produce RST files anymore (it crashed XyWrite!). Suspecting a corruption
in the RST file, I erased or renamed my previous .RST file and I was
able to produce a new one sucessfully. And, moreover, now I am able to
restore a session from it (but a "Working" message remains in the status
line after completing the operation).
My suspicion about possible corrupting of the file arose after a curious
discovering: when I attempted to use the restore routine, the default
drive switched to F: (a CD-Rom drive).
More discoverings related to STACK: during operation, XyWrite sometimes
inserts this chain of code in my files (at cursor): ®IF®VA$SM{>>}>0¯
when I press Escape Key (instead of Shift-Esc). My current definition of
ESC is:
1=NOJM2,.,n,u,l,l,Q2
Another and probably more relevant discovering: the "Hint" key I have
included in my KBD file looks this way (I am quoting STACK.DOC):
Make a "Hint" key: nn=GH,DX,EL,SI,3/4,H,$S
The reserved character is here, instead of a Yen symbol! Is it really
relevant?
Best regards,
Manuel Castelao
