  Most mail-readers give you a choice, or make it very easy to select
with the mouse or do a crtl-y or crtl-k to delete individual lines. It's
not all that hard -- mostly lazyness and lack of consideration. It's
especially ridiculous on a list like this -- maybe people here have
never used an editor before, eh?
 OTOH, the problem is much worse on the newsgroups. Maybe we need a
driver's license for the net.
