Execute command DSORT D (sorts the directory by date). Then execute command DIR. Copy the most recent files to a new directory that you create, then just go to that directory and use "global search" (SE *.*) This needs to be done in an empty window. That's it. Piece o' pie . . . er, Easy as cake?

Is there a way to SEarch through only the most recent files in a directory?
I have probably 2,000 files going back several years in a directory and
would like to find a particular string in a single file I think was SToredi
n the last few weeks.
If I could just search through the most recent few dozen file, I'd save
some time.
Thanks for any advice.
