A trick of mine is to use what we used to call the "grey" keys before
the Dell Era. Anyway, I use the far-right page down key (obviously with
number lock turned off) to both page down and save.

As a member of the really really worried I have automatic save set
to every two minutes. I was very intrigued by your suggestion. Is
there a reason not to use 28=29+31 (control + S) instead
Unless you know something I don't, that wouldn't work at all. "29" and
"31" are references to key numbers, which can't be in the content of
the key assignment.
Of course, one can simply remember to hit ctrl-S every few seconds.
And if one has, as I do, a difficulty in remembering things, there's a
U2 routine, REMEMBER, which will re-program your DNA to fix that. Or
does it fix your children's memory... I forget.
