SysOp:
I have just upgraded to 4.016. (1) How do I put the F frames I want to port
over from 3.57 to a U2 file, which I note from this BBS you can do? I thought
U2 files were for those command sets, which I find quite handy, by the way.
Anyway, following the instrux. in the customization guide, I had moved them
over to my dlg file, which I resaved under the name test.dlg and reloaded that
file, after making the necessary addition in the mnu file, which, of course, I
resaved as test.mnu. With both reloaded, the frames work as they did in 3.57,
with one exception. You must cursor down, or mouse down to the item you want.
You can't simply type the letter or number that you have placed in bold. A bug
or as designed? (2) There is a bug in xy4.dlg. When you do
insert/other/special character/latin from the menu, the list of characters that
can be inserted mysteriously stops somewhere in the E's. Naturally, I thought
I had created this problem for myself with my modifications, so I reloaded the
original xy4.dlg and xy4.mnu files. No improvement. So, finally, I
reinstalled XY4.dlg from the installation disks. Same thing. So apparently
there's a bug. All the other dialogue boxes, at least the ones I use, seem to
be okay.
Meanwhile, I have reloaded my old. 4.015 dlg file, resaved it as test.dlg,
added the frames I wanted to try out, and that worked. But you still have to
cursor down or mouse down.
Can you help?
Leslie.
