Carl and Chris,
My original problem was a message a program was supposed to put up, in
effect "please wait," while another program ran with es set to1. But the
"please wait" wasn't getting put up there. So the FF will no doubt fix
this. Or I could use the prompt line, per Chris's suggestion.
But I wanted to know about P because there are other programs where I need
a pause and the WAIT command wasn't doing it.
