To OS/2 users who have cause to transfer files between laptop and
desktop: a fellow in the Netherlands has put together a very hand
freeware laplink style utility which can be easily called from within
Xywrite with the help of the Xy-OS/2 shell. It's called lpt186 (I
think you can find the file at Hobbes under the name lpt186.zip). The
documentation at the moment makes for a little tough going but this
should change soon. It works by starting a daemon in the background
(lpt.exe) which can be hooked into via lptq.exe, a VIO app which allows
batch-file (and REXX, too, I think) access.
