I encountered the same anomaly a few years back on my T-Pad T41. RH
and I went round and round; he suggested many troubleshooting
routines. At the time, he suggested it was likely the bios or
hardware calls particular to that machine. I think he too had a T-Pad
of similar vintage and was able to reproduce part of the behavior. I
still have the same machine; TAME Pre7 solved all the issues. Why? I
wish I could say. This is all in the XyChives -- my neologism; try
using *T41* or *T41P* as one of your search terms. NB, I have not
used ansified XY.
