vDos in OS X

Hello,

I’ve belatedly joined this list because I do a lot of work with vDos even though I
don’t use XyWrite (though I’d like to use NBDos again in vDos someday).

There’s a post recommending Crossover for use with vDos on the Mac. I’ve tried this,
but it uses the Cmd key as the Alt key (the Alt key alone does nothing, apparently), and
that’s a bit hard to get used to. (I think most users will not want to install what Crossover
calls ’the legacy X window system’ and use the options that Crossover provides for
modifying the Alt keys, and, if I remember correctly, that option doesn’t work anyway).

Has anyone solved this problem? I’ve been working on a solution, but if someone else has
fixed it, I’ll be glad to hear about it.

Also, one problem that I haven’t found any solution for is the absence of an Ins key or any
equivalent in Crossover. Any suggestions about that would be very welcome.
