    I've had no problem remapping ASCII 27 to another key in
3.52A and getting full functionality out of it (including while in
the help files). XyWrite either fixed the problem since releasing
3.50 or it is a problem unique to whatever configuration you're
using. (BTW, I stick the ASCII 27 on key 76 in the first table --
plain old, unshifted 5 on the number pad; I haven't tried it out
with any Alt- or Ctrl-key combinations).
