That should do it. The keyboard file, savegets, xwstart, and pers.spl
are my usual customization points, so if I would run the installer, I
would have it install into a fresh xw subdirectory and then copy in my
customized files (or just rename the fresh one and rename my old xw back
to xw). XwStart still would need to be tweaked as before to get the
speller working. The only other one would be the log file, which might
need to be updated.
I have also modified xwset from time to time, but not the user interface
files.

About a XyWin installer:
Which files should a XyWin installer NOT overwrite? These seem to be
the ones that a user is likely to have modified, but I'm only guessing:
xwuif.uif
settings.xy
xwset.dfl
xwstart.int
xwu3.u3
saveget.sgt
pers.spl
xw.kbd
There's no need to worry about any files that a user has to create
first, and that aren't installed by the original installer.
But are there any others that should be preserved that aren't on that
list? And are any of those on the list NOT likely to be changed by a
user?
