DOSBox-X 0.83.16 Released!

The latest version of DOSBox-X (0.83.16) is now officially released! Designing to a cross-platform DOS emulator covering different types of DOS programs, as usual there are many new features, improvements and other fixes in this new release compared with the previous version 0.83.15, such as transparent window support, allow for more and customized code pages, improved international support, and many more. You can find the DOSBox-X 0.83.16 release notes (containing the notable features and usability improvements etc) here:

Windows installers and Linux Flatpak packages for DOSBox-X 0.83.16 are officially available to ease the installation, in addition to other packages including portable packages for Windows, Linux, macOS and DOS. You will find the official downloads for them from the DOSBox-X homepage:

For the Windows installer, it is now separated into 32-bit and 64-bit Windows installers, available from:

32-bit Setup (Windows XP+): dosbox-x-win32-0.83.16-setup.exe

64-bit Setup (Windows Vista+): dosbox-x-win64-0.83.16-setup.exe

You can also download a Windows portable version based on the latest code from:

As with previous version, it has the TrueType font output, clipboard device (CLIP$), and the dynamic_x86 CPU core set by default which are more optimized for XyWrite.
