There is an update to the XyWWWeb Jumbo U2, dated 4 March 2022. Many routines have been updated, but the most notable changes/additions are: - Quick-Start instructions are now bundled with the zip download, and are available online at <http://xywrite.org/xywwweb/quick-u2.txt>. Hopefully this will make it easier for first-time users to get up and running. - A dedicated "U2EXTRAS" subdirectory is now supported. U2EXTRAS are external helper programs that extend XyWrite's interoperability with DOS and Windows. U2 expects to find these programs in the directory with EDITOR.EXE, but now you have the option of collecting them in a subdirectory of that directory, named U2EXTRAS. - There is a new file-recovery facility, similar to the version history feature in Dropbox. You may find it worthwhile if, like me, you're constantly editing important files in XyWrite. Version history gives you access to older copies of your files, listing the date and size of each available version. The version history is searchable, and older versions of any file can be viewed without overwriting the current version. You can also add non-XyWrite files to the version history. A one-time set-up is required, but after that it should all be self- maintaining. Command HELP VERSIONS<Helpkey> for details.
