Jon, thank you for letting us know. This is sad news, and such a loss
for our community.
Professor Sivin was a deeply cultured man who wore his erudition
lightly. XyWriters everywhere owe him a debt of thanks for giving us a
home on the UPenn listserv after XyQuest closed its doors in the early
'90s. He will be missed and remembered.
