This is after successfully SEarching for and finding "is" [without quotes|.

My system is always a problem. I'll try with Xy4 stock .kbd

Harry, had you already executed a SEarch command during your current XyWrite session? If there's no prior SEarch command, there's nothing to restore. SEarches done in prior session don't count.
