Harry: Kari said: > The vDosPlus engine is the same in all of these. Yes, and it's the latest (last) version; I can think of no possible reason to run anything earlier. If you shell to DOS from XyWrite, the VER command should return: "vDosPlus 2017.08.01 (build 2017.10.17), 4DOS 8.00, reported DOS version: 7.10". Ditto, VER<Helpkey>, if you are running the XyWWWeb U2. In your case, Harry -- since, if I recall correctly, you normally run XyWrite 4 and the XyWWWeb U2 -- I'm going to be prescriptive and advise you to install the XyWrite 4 Service Pack (version 5.03): https://www.lexitec.fi/xywrite/vDosPlus503_SP_Setup.zip When installing, select your preferred DOS code page (437 or 850) and specify your normal Xy4 program directory. (As Kari said, your setup will be backed up.) Reinstate your normal STARTUP.INT and Bob should be your uncle. Once you have your familiar Xy4 setup up and running, install the latest version of the XyWWWeb U2. Download it here: http://xywrite.org/xywwweb/XYWWEBU2.ZIP and follow the installation instructions; or -- if you choose -- save the U2 updater (https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/U2update.zip) to your Xy4 program directory and, at a Windows command prompt, command: to download the latest U2 version, and then: to apply it to your setup. At that point, VER<Helpkey> should return the vDosPlus version information quoted above. And: you will have the ability to switch, in real time, among code pages 437 (U.S.), 850 (Western European), 775 (Baltic), 852 (Central European), 857 (Turkish) and 866 (Cyrillic) via U2 command: -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
