Reply to note from Harry Binswanger <dmarc-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Fri, 11 Apr 2025 10:45:49 -0400 > In Holdkey, how do I deal with key repeat To lengthen the delay before characters start repeating when a key is held down, click on Advanced Settings and increase the numerical setting for "Repeat delay" (default = 6). There is a workaround to prevent Holdkey from interfering with XyWrite keyboard functionality. In Advanced Settings, enable "Blacklist programs from using Holdkey" then click on Settings immediately to the right and add the appropriate program to the list. For example, if you're running XyWrite in vDosPlus.exe, add vDosPlus.exe to the list. Also important: if you have multiple monitors, be sure to click the checkbox next to "Enable multiple monitor support" in Advanced Settings. Otherwise, the accents menu may not appear when you hold down a key if you're working in monitor #2. -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
