Okay. No offence intended! The warning was not hard to find, and I did read it. I have seen warnings about malware programs interfering with installations, so I thought my malware program might block 'installation when I first ran Xy4DBMac. Getting the false positives was almost accidental. I was checking something else and noticed that Xy4DBMac.app was using a lot of CPU whether it was handling a document or not. So I ran it through the malware checker and got the results I reported. Bitdefender must have done *something* to Xy4DBMac, though, since it no longer reports a problem. As far as I can tell, Xy runs as it did before. Perhaps youre right about the magical thinking. I cant remember Bitdefender reporting anything evil in recent years. I had a few virus problems back in my Windows days, but Ive used Mac for almost 20 years now, running Windows in virtual machines only for the sake of a couple programs I liked (or needed, in one case). Again, sorry for the offence! Myron
