I've been putting the newly-compiled Editor through its paces in line with my usual, U2-infused usage of XyWrite 4 and it performs flawlessly. This is hardly surprising, given its byte-for-byte identity with the original EDITOR.EXE v4.018 -- but still gratifying, so I thought I'd mention it.
