Re Mint Cinnamon, Claude says: Mint Cinnamon is a great test environment. Most things should Just Work; the four exceptions I mentioned (lock keys silently no-op, drive-letter syntax irrelevant, X/XY uses sh syntax, styled PDF needs chromium-browser installed) are the only places he should notice anything different from Windows. A couple of small heads-up items if you run into them: - Tkinter on Mint: usually pre-installed, but if not, sudo apt install python3-tk does it - Chromium for styled PDF: sudo apt install chromium and the styled PDF export starts working - Default fonts: Tkinter picks system fonts at runtime, so the editor will look slightly different (typically Sans/Mono Sans rather than Segoe UI/Consolas) - Options Claude notes that cross-platform Python/Tk testing is the kind of thing that almost always yields one or two surprises. If you hit anything unexpected - a crash, a feature that visually breaks, an obviously-Windows assumption in a place Claude missed - let me know and I'll have Claude sort it out. -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
