Re: QuickNotes

Yes, I was thinking, before some of the below was added, why couldn't this be a fork from XyWrite. I am working with Claude to do a translation between XPL and Python.
But "working" is a euphemism for: doing it in odd hours, with maybe 2
weeks in between.

QuickNotes now has:

- a rich, XyWrite-like command set
- a capable, user-friendly scripting language (QPL)
- a startup script (startup.qns) analogous to XyWrite's STARTUP.INT
- a reconfigurable keyboard that can be (re)loaded from disk
- a system of script libraries analogous to XyWrite's U2 and help files
- advanced search-and-replace via regular expressions

And a user manual: https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/qnmanual.pdf

Download the QuickNotes text editor and user manual (beta) here:

Save quicknotes.py to a directory of your choice. Launch with:
  python quicknotes.py
Python v3.9 or later must be installed
