No need to reinvent that particular wheel in QuickNotes -- it's already there. For example, you can swap "Last, First" name pairs to "First Last"; see User Manual sec. 5.4. I'm not unalterably opposed to adding wildcards. It's a bit tricky because, unlike XyWrite which has access to 3-byte characters for wildcards and other meta-characters, the CMline in QN is plain text. But ...
