Re: QuickNotes

Good to hear development is back on track!

Here's an item to add to your list of enhancements to consider: Add at least some of the features of the U2 Directory Manager to the DIR command.  In particular, allow incremental search of filenames.  Then a user can open a file by pressing the key combo they have assigned to the DIR command, then the first letter or two of the filename.  Does it make sense to include only text-like files in the DIR listing, given that only those files can be viewed/edited?  Or add a variant that does that?

After rigorous testing and some restructuring of the source code, QuickNotes is back in development mode. Among the latest new features:

- "Auto-hide the menu bar" now requires a double-tap of the Alt key to toggle the menu on/off -- to address the Alt+key pentimento scenario.

- AutoSave is now optional. New command AUTOSAVE ON|OFF; new special variable $AU (1 = on, 0 = off).

- In the command-history dialog, <Del> deletes the highlighted command.

- New boolean variables $CL, $NL and $RL report the state of CapsLock, NumLock and ScrollLock, respectively (1 = on, 0 = off).

- User manual hand-edited for style and updated to reflect all changes since last revision.
