Hi Carl,
That's very nice! It's handy that the search operates within filenames (e.g. 'nam' matches 'filename'), and Ctrl+Enter is (for me) an intuitive key combo for open/launch. The former does mean, however, that if you have files az.md and z.md in your directory, there is no way of getting to the latter by typing letters --- you need to use PgDn or resort to the mouse (I think). Perhaps typing an uppercase letter could takesequent letters could continue finding matches from that point)?
Including directories' and a file 'ab', you can't get to the file by typing letters. But (a) that situation seems unusual and (b) files are supposed to have extensions (even if not all of us adhere to that rule), so I don't think it's worth bothering about.
I noticed what seems to be a bug in the editor: if, with an open file, you press Ctrl+Del, then the character the cursor is on is deleted AND a dialog asking you to confirm deletion of the file appears. (On my XyWrite keyboard, Ctrl+Del deletes the current line, and there is a danger that almost 40 years of muscle memory will kick in and I willon dialog will save me as long as I don't press Enter next, but my personal preference would be to not allow file-deletion via a key combo when editing a file.)
Thanks for>
